Elder Mease Week 100 last week on the Mission!
Hey friends and family!
Well... I don't even know where to begin. Thank you, thank you for all your love and your support to help me be a better missionary, I love you all so much and there is no greater joy than this work. As you all know this is my last week I will spend as a missionary, and I am speechless to the point where I don't feel quite ready to go back home yet, but with every great calling must come a great release. The Lord has done so much for me these past 2 years... he has given me the experience of a lifetime, an experience that will prepare me for the life that is up ahead, an experience that I will never... ever forget!!
With the last week that I have as a missionary, my companion and I have made plans and set goals to Baptize 8 people this upcoming Saturday and I am so excited with the progress that we have been having within the area! The amount of people that we have been finding, and the amount of referrals we have been receiving have been awesome, the members are really becoming involved in this great cause.. my heart rejoices in their efforts and in the Lord because through him are all things possible:)
There is a great amount of people that I have taught and that I have witnessed the Gospel of Jesus Christ change and edify their lives for the better, and there is no greater joy than the joy of sharing the "good news" of Christ with my brothers and sisters. As a disciple of Christ, as Mormon declares... "I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." Even though my full-time missionary service is coming to a close, I am still a disciple of Jesus Christ and I am still commanded to share his Gospel with others.
As a missionary, I have built a strong foundation on "the rock of Christ," and that foundation is just the beginning of a lifelong pursuit to love, serve, and follow my savior and redeemer Jesus Christ. This world is a dangerous place, both spiritual and temporal and without that foundation on Christ, no matter what we do or what we face in life, opposition will always come and because of my savior Jesus Christ, I will experience spiritual safety that the devil will have no power over me because of my Faith in the Lord.
I know that this church "the church of JESUS CHRIST of latter-day saints," is the Lords true church. I know that through his restored gospel we can be saved in the kingdom of God, for he loves us, he cares for us, and he wants us to return to live with him again in his presence. Evidence of Gods love is the in Book of Mormon, that book has changed my life and has made me who I am today! Pondering in its precepts has made me to become an effective missionary and to recognize that I am a son of God, a God who loves me and wants me to succeed in this life and most importantly to be happy through the Gospel of his redeeming son, even my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet of God, because of his desire to know the truth, We can all now be blessed with the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel that is beautiful, the Gospel that is merciful, the Gospel that brings us Salvation and eternal life with God as we LIVE it. I know these things to be true, they will always be true, and this I say in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Love Elder Mease
