Elder Mease Week 98
Hey friends and family!!
This week was quite amazing, to start things off, interviews were this week with President Hillam and it was just awesome! I love my mission president so much, he has been a great example to me throughout my mission and wants me to claim all of the blessings that my heavenly father has in store for me.
Elder Effiong and I were joined by another missionary for a few days named Elder Vakauta, he stays in the apartment with us but his companion had a problem with his leg so he needed to go to the mission home for a few days because he has been out for a few weeks now and President Hillam wants to get Elder Vakauta out of the house more so he put him with Elder Effion and I. We had an amazing week together! It was a little bit weird being in a trio for a week; however, it was a ton of fun and I am glad I was able to experience it :)
We found several amazing people throughout the week including a husband and wife! We met them while we were on our way to an appointment with a member and they stopped us, they told us they are both looking for change in their lives and want to bring themselves closer to God. It was a neat discussion and we introduced them to our message the best way that we could because they couldn't really speak or understand english so we compiled all of the fanti and twi words that we knew and it just worked out perfectly haha what an amazing experience. So throughout the week we taught them twice with a few members which was great, and on Sunday they made their way to church for the first time! The members were so welcoming and it looked like brother Joseph (husband) and his wife had a great time. Both Elder Effiong and I are very excited to continue teaching them throughout this coming week!
As we have searched more diligently to find and contact families, the Lord has provided so many wonderful ways for us to contact and meet new families and introduce them to the Gospel. This week we are looking to help the families that we met throughout the past few weeks progress in the Gospel as well as contacting new families to begin teaching:) the goals we set this week we both are very excited to pursue, it is a matter of having faith and diligent effort!
Hope you all have an amazing week and I cannot wait to see all of you again :) Love you all
