Alec Mease week 91

Hello everyone. This week was quite a week and maybe I would love to just talk about just an experience that Elder Sivert and I have had. Towards the beginning of the week Elder Sivert and I were on our way to a members house for a lesson and on our walk towards their home, we felt impressed to stop first by a recent convert of ours named brother Elvis who was just baptized last week! Once we arrived at brother Elvis place we met a few of his friends that he happily referred to us haha and one of them who goes by Fred started asking us all kinds of questions like who we are? why were here? and we sure answered all of his questions and he was really surprised at the answers we were giving him but overall he was really interested into what we had to share with him. On our return appointment with him he asked us all kinds of questions about the church and how he personally can know to what we are teaching is true, throughout the lesson that we had, we focused a lot on the power of the Holy Ghost and the influence that  he has on a person with a desire to seek for the savior. Brother Fred has that desire, we invited him to pray about the things we taught him and gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon.. inviting him to read the introduction along with the testimony of the beloved prophet Joseph smith and the other witnesses. later in the week when we had come back to teach him, he had not only read what we invited him to do, but he read all of 1 Nephi and had all sorts of questions to ask concerning the Book of Mormon and told us that everything that he read he believes to be true. The lesson we had with brother Fred that day was a witness of Gods love and power, I will never forget the way he felt during the lesson when me and my companion bore testimony of the Book of Mormon.. towards the end we invited him to be baptized and he gladly accepted! What a tender experience that both Elder Sivert and I had.
Experiences like that is what makes missionary work so beautiful, both my companion and I have worked so much throughout this week finding and introducing to new people the restored Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have found great people willing to learn more about our message and I am just so excited to finish my mission in such a great area around so many amazing people.
