Elder Mease week 77 Happy New Year
Hello friends and family!!! I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas very much :)) this week went great but way too fast!
I have received news Saturday that i will be going on TRANSFER this very Wednesday!!! I am very ready and willing to see where the Lord needs me to be, and having transfers coming up Wednesday, I will find out who my new companion, my new area, and my new zone will be! I am looking forward to the new area and companion that I will be receiving and to take my missionary efforts else where! Most importantly, I am excited for the opportunity that the Lord has blessed me with to serve other missionaries and also people in the new area I will be serving.
This week my companion and I have worked very diligently in finding and teaching families the restored gospel of Christ. We were crushed when none of them had come with us to church, but it truly is all part of the work. Despite the absence in people coming to church, we had a great number of people attend sacrament on Sunday that completely shocked us missionaries as well as the bishopric! A surprising number of 168 people attending sacrament meeting when we are averaging just around 100-110 each week, so that truly was a tender mercy of the Lord seeing all of the less actives and members all coming back into the fold of God once again. :)
I will be sure to keep all of you updated and posted on the new area in which I will be serving! Keep me in your prayers that transfers will go okay for me! I pray that all of you are preparing for this new year to begin! The missionaries in this mission refer to the year i am currently in (2018) as the DARK YEAR haha because it is the year that I will not see any of my family members or friends in mission. But I will have to say... that this dark year the missionaries speak of has been by far the fastest year of my entire life! It truly makes me sad looking back on it and how fast time has gone. But there will always be light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dark :)) Love you all!! and i pray that you all have a wonderful new years week!! as we close off the final day of the year and prepare ourselves for greater opportunities this coming year to progress more in life! :) HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!
