Elder Mease week 75

well, i still cant believe how fast christmas is coming!! 1 more week until the big day! i hope that all of us have been having a wonderful christmas season as we celebrate the birth of the greatest gift given to man.

the savior is our guide to happiness in this life and life eternal, i thank my heavenly father for such a precious gift he has given to all of his children :) we especially should take this opportunity this christmas season to help others to realize and witness this gift for themselves. our mission president has emphasized on memorizing a scripture on the savior and his atonement each transfer, so far this transfer i have chosen to memorize 1 Nephi 19:9:

"And the world, because of their iniquity, shall judge him to be a thing of naught; wherefore, they scourge him, and he suffereth it; and they smite him, and he suffereth it. Yea, they spit upon him, and he suffereth it, because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men."

the savior suffered pains and afflictions of every kind, but he did it for us! so now that we won't have to suffer, all we must do is accept the terms and conditions that have been given; and that is to believe on his name and follow the gospel that his has given us!

this scripture really has comforted my soul here in the mission field, and i look forward this christmas season to remember him even more than i have been! one of the things i have loved most about mission is the opportunity to have the savior on your mind consistently 24/7, always feeling the influence of his love around me as i continue to serve him each and every day!

this has been an awesome week and i look forward to christmas day which is drawing very near to each of us! i love you all and hope you have a great week also as you each prepare for this christmas season! and dont forget to LIGHT THE WORLD :-)
