Elder Mease week 73

Hey everyone! What an amazing week it has been for both my companion and I, this Tuesday my companion elder tucay went to his “Finish Strong Meeting,” which basically means he has 3 months left on mission and its time to set goals and do all that he can with the time that he has left in the mission field. It surprises me how fast time is going by, before I know it I will be having that same meeting in just 3 months!!
Just this Wednesday all of the Ghana cape coast leaders came together for a “Missionary Leadership Council,” we discussed on several important topics that we could all do as leaders to lift the Ghana cape coast mission and its missionaries. I LOVE what my mission president, president hillam said concerning lifting, that lifting cannot be done by only him alone but the ones who will lift this mission is its leaders and the examples that are being set. What has lifted this mission the most is the exchanges that leaders have had with other missionaries, we are truly seeing miracles happen in the Ghana cape coast mission and it is without a doubt a tender mercy from the lord.
This week the cape coast stake was able to have a conference, and we were blessed with the opportunity to hear from General Authority Elder Dube and his wife, he is such a wonderful man and has truly devoted his life to service for the lord. The topics that he discussed on during stake conference was what he called the 3 S’s that will lead us to build a rock foundation in the Lord Jesus Christ, the first one is SCRIPTURE STUDY. How can we develop a foundation in the lord any other way than from the words of his beloved prophets and apostles? The next one he discussed on was SACRAMENT, what we partake of each week in remembrance of him and his great atoning sacrifice. We should take the opportunity that we all have been blessed with on the Sabbath day to remember him and everything that he has done for all of us! The last S is SACRIFICE, a great example of sacrifice is our tithes.. we need to remember the whole purpose and reasoning we pay our tithing, and when we do so we show the lord that we love him and we serve him. Because of the sacrifices we make for him, he will bless us because of it.
What a wonderful opportunity that I have been given to apply all of the different things that I learn out here in the mission field into my life. As I have served these past 17 months, I have seen the hand of the lord take place countless times throughout my mission. He is there! And he loves each and every one of us with his arms of mercy extended out to all of Gods children. I love each of you and pray for a wonderful upcoming week :)
