Elder Mease Light the world week 74
Well what a week it has been! To start things off, my companion and I had a BAPTISM!!! We finally baptized a young boy that we have been teaching the past month or so… he is brothers to one of our recent converts Florence, and he is just a great kid. We have been teaching the family recently and It has been quite an experience for us, we have seen the fruits that this gospel has brought to this wonderful family and have seen the way that the gospel has changed their lives.
This week we have been doing all that we can to focus more on less actives, it has been quite an experience. Our plan is to work with the members on their ministering efforts and locate more less actives from those opportunities :)
The highlight of the week was by far on Sunday, we truly reaped the rewards we had sown throughout the week with our proselyting efforts. Five of our investigators made it to church this week which truly was a tender mercy from the lord, some of the investigators who came had been former investigators who felt they needed to come back and continue learning the gospel with the missionaries. The biggest impact I have noticed that this gospel has on people we teach is when they keep their commitments, as they are keeping the commitments that we extend it broadens their opportunity to receive and strengthen their testimony in the gospel doctrines and teachings. Coming to church has been one of the biggest effects in my opinion on investigators receiving a witness that this church is true.
Much to look forward this coming week as both my companion and I prepare those whom we are teaching the restored gospel, so far we have 5 to 6 progressing people who we have high hopes and high expectations towards their baptism :) as we continue to light the world and light those lives in whom we come in contact with, we are searching each and every day for more opportunities to serve and help others to feel the love of Christ this Christmas season, our efforts have led to tender experiences that have made a big impact for me in my mission!
Hope you have the greatest week as we all get closer and closer to Christmas day. My prayers go out to each of you this Christmas season and hope you all have the opportunity to feel the love of Christ each and every day as you LIGHT THE WORLD !! love you all so much and will talk to you next week
