Miracles happen through service! Elder Mease week 70

hey everyone!

what an awesome week it was for both my companion and i! I guess to start things off, we had a BAPTISM this week! her name is florence and she was a referral from one of our recent converts! we are currently teaching her family but she was one of the first ones that we began teaching and she has really come a long way since the first lesson that we had with her.

she was confirmed just the other day and the smile that she had on her face was the biggest smile i have seen! it was a tender moment for both my companion and i to experience! even though only 1 of our investigators out of the 11 were able to make it to church on sunday, sister florences confirmation was truly the highlight of our day!

i was able to experience an exchange with the assistants to the president this week and it was awesome! i went with elder nemet and we truly experienced miracles throughout the exchange! i learned so much from him and i hope that he was able to learn from me also haha but i am blessed with the leaders that we have in this mission and the example that they set for both me and the other missionaries throughout ghana cape coast mission. as i have served in leadership positions throughout my mission i have truly noticed the blessings of service in leadership, there are miracles that come through service and having high love and high expectations for those around me. i have truly grown since the first day in my mission and continue to grow and change as i experience opposition in this work. in 2 nephi 2:11 we see that there is opposition in everything, and if there wasn't opposition in this life how can we change? how can we strengthen our testimony in the lord? when temptaions come and they always do, humility and faithfulness will help us overcome trials with opposition and make us much stronger than we were before.

we all know ether 12:27, if we humble ourselves before the lord and have faith in him, then will he make weak things become strong unto us!! :)

there are just too many blessings that come because i have this gospel in my life, if it wasn't for this gospel and the foundation that i have built on the savior, i don't know how i would be able to face the trials and opposition that comes before me in my life!

mission has changed me, and i couldnt have asked for a greater way to spend my time than to serve the lord.
