Elder Mease Week 60
Hey everybody!!
this week was great! i have received my new companion elder effiong and within these past few days we have just worked and worked, we have truly had some spiritual experiences with some of our people and it has just been awesome.
i am truly looking forward to this upcoming transfer with my new companion and i know that great things will happen in our companionship! Just within the past few days we have already established great unity in our companionship and we have been working great together! elder effiong is an excellent teacher and he LOVES to talk (as in very out going).
sunday we had a great amount of people attend church, and since it was a fast and testimony sunday they were able to hear all of the members in the branch share their testimonies. the spirit during sacrament meeting was powerful and i am so happy that they were able to experience that! one of our investigators named sister vivian came for her first time on sunday and even brought her son with her to church, so later after church when we went back to see her she was so excited to share with me and elder effiong some of the things she had learned. i am so amazed on what 3 hours can do to a single person, sister vivian introduced and referred us to some of her siblings and we discussed with them about our message, sister vivian was also sharing her testimony about the church while we discussed which really helped them feel the spirit during our lesson.
so many others throughout the week we were able to teach, and so many spiritual experiences that me and elder effiong have been able to endure!
the branch has been doing awesome as well, we had 80 people come to church on sunday, so since i arrived i have truly seen a lot of progression in the branch within the past 6 weeks!
throughout my mission i have truly seen the change in not only the people that i teach but in myself. i have allowed my mission experience to change me throughout this past year, and because of that change i am able to witness the miracles that come because of it. i am so very thankful for the opportunities that i have been given to share this gospel with others and i have seen the way that it has affected my life and the life of those i teach. i do not know what i would do in this life without the book of mormon by my side, it truly is the word of GOD and as i have applied myself in its precepts and pondered its message i have witnessed many miracles in my mission. I love you all and am so thankful for each of you, i wish you all the best week and will remember to keep you all in my prayers:) talk with you all soon.
