Elder Mease Week 59
hey guys! this week has been amazing but we can say that its been a little different than the usual weeks! well to start things off, my companion is being transferred and i honestly couldnt believe it when i found out! also, i have once again been called to serve as a district leader here on mission which is pretty exciting! Just today all of us in the apartment have been forced to move into a different home under our chapel which has been a little bit stressful due to the fact that we had to pack together all of our things and move them all over this morning. the reason of doing so is because the new senior couples are going to stay in it, so they had to get us out as fast as they could lol.
but other than that... this week has been an awesome week! me and elder oulai finished off this transfer very strong, but it really surprised us how fast it went by.. it seems like just the other day i came to tarkwa and now ive been out here for just about 2 months! when i found out elder oulai was being transferred, i couldn't believe it! these past 6 weeks have been wonderful with elder oulai, we have learned so much from one another and worked extremely hard to find new people to teach. throughout the transfer we have found those people, and they are still continuing to progress. Our hard work in nsuta is starting to pay off!
just this past week i have had such an amazing experience happen to me! as i was on an exchange with one of the elders in the district, Elder pane'e, it was around the time for us to return back to the house. but i felt an urgency to just talk with a few more people before we left for the house, after the first few conversations we weren't finding alot of success up until we found a lady who we met with as we were having a conversation with her brother and we asked her if she would be interested in hearing our message. Her name is ernestina and she stays in the kumasi region but has come down to visit her brother for the next few weeks, so this past week me and elder oulai have been teaching her and she has now come to church the second time!! as we extended a baptismal invitation to her she most gracefully accepted it and it has been such a powerful experience seeing her grow in this gospel and keeping all the commitments that we have extended to her. she will be leaving back to kumasi here very soon so the other missionaries there will have to continue teaching her.
amazing things have been happening each day in our companionship and this is just one of them! i am so thankful for the lord assisting me in becoming an instrument in his hands! i have truly seen the growth this area has made as me and my companion put our trust and will in the lord to help us find and teach daily that we may be able to baptize weekly!
