Elder Mease Week 57
Hey everyone!! another great week down in ghana as always! this week turned out very well for elder oulai and I! we had two of our investigators show up at church and it really seemed like they enjoyed their experience! The members have been just great, i am still getting to know the majority of them but the ones that i have met are so nice and welcoming.
this week elder oulai and i did a lot more finding in our area and we found a handful of investigators who have a lot of potential in hearing this gospel! one of them by the name of portia read the entire restoration pamphlet after meeting with us and our next visit she accepted our invitation to read the book of mormon! as we came back for another appointment, she has told us that she read and prayed about the book, telling us that she believes it is true! we then extended an invitation for her to join us at church but she was unable to attend..
another one of our investigators by the name of kwame also read the book of mormon and he got really excited over the fact that it was exactly like the bible! after teaching him and helping him understand the origin of the book he asked alot of great questions concerning sin and how to overcome it! after hearing his question i directed him over to helaman 5 which can help him to receive his answer! We are planning to visit with him today to see if he was able to read through that chapter, but just with meeting with him this past week i have high expectations for him to progress in this gospel.
This sunday we had 84 people attend sacrament meeting which is a great number for the branch!! since i have been here i have been seeing great progression with sacrament attendance which is awesome!
i am looking forward to this coming week with elder oulai because we have a whole lot of work to do in our area, and it is going to take alot of faith and prayer to help our investigators progress in this gospel!
today my first trainer Elder Jeppson has finished... he will be returning back home to the US! i cannot believe how fast time has passed! i am going to miss him and all of the missionaries who will be returning home with him as well. i am thankful for the example that he set for me when i first got here on my mission and it has affected me throughout my experience here in ghana!
i love you all and hope you have a wonderful week this week! talk with you SOON:)
