Elder Mease Week 54 I made it to my new area!!
well... i have arrived to my new area Tarkwa and i LOVE IT!!!! my new companion goes by the name elder oulai and he is a great hard working missionary and we get along very good! this week we have been working our butts off for the branch!
the branch in our ward is A LOT bigger than my last branch! there are probably around 70-80 active members and they all are so great:) i had the chance to bear my testimony in front of all of them and it went so great! just throughout the week since i am so new, my companion just introduced me around to each of our investigators and just 1 or 2 members. but this week we talked a ton with different people and just in this week we found 9 new investigators in our area that we have been working with throughout the week, i feel that each of them have a lot of potential which makes me so happy! the sad thing is though that we had no one come to church this week and it was like i was back in cape coast again!!! so we went around on sunday to see what happened but the majority of the people who promised us they would come either wasnt home or just really sick!
we are working with the branch to make it a little bigger so that they can split it into 2 branches! they want to do that by december haha so what me and my companion have to do is just teach and convert more people to the branch! we have like 3 areas that we work in and the main area mission president wants us to focus on is nsuta just so we can get a branch out there!
me and elder oulai work extremely hard working with the members and helping them get involved into the work because it is too hard for us to do missionary work alone.. we need referrals!
so meeting with members and strengthening them throughout my mission has been the main reason why i have been able to have more success in the work. members i feel should be the main focus, especially in my new area!
well i am really looking forward to this place and i know that it will be a very fun but interesting experience! i love you all so much and will keep you updated as we move throughout the week! talk to you all next week:)
