Elder Mease Week 53 GOT TO EAT AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT FOR THE FIRST TIME ON MY MISSION
Hey everyone! Well this was quite an interesting week! I wasn’t able to spend as much time in our area due to the travel to takoradi as well as the exchanges that we had with the zone leaders, but the other days we were able to get a lot of work done in assin anyinabrim.
This week I had to travel into western region takoradi to renew my non-citizen card here in Ghana and the experience I had was great! After we all renewed our cards I had the opportunity to eat at a fast food restaurant for the first time in a year! I realized after eating at kfc how much I have missed the food from home.. but seeing how fast my mission has gone it will be here in no time.
Well, now for the big news! Just on Saturday, I received a call from the zone learders telling me that I have been TRANSFERRED to a new area! But I still don’t find out yet where I will move to until this Wednesday…the time I have served in this area I have learned so much from the people I have served around and each one of them has made a big impact in my life and especially my mission! So much has been accomplished in such a short amount of time while I have served here, the branch is increasing by the day and we are always finding new people to share our message with who gracefully accept us. Just in the coming month we are looking to have 5 baptisms in this area and still much more work to pursue, this area has been a wonderful blessing in my life and I will never forget those who I was able to see change into better people because of this gospel, it is truly wonderful how much this message can really bless those we share it with.
Saying goodbyes to the people in my area has been hard for me these past few days, especially brother Benjamin. I will always remember this small branch and the people in the branch who have affected my life as a missionary. It has been a long ride in this area and it is hard to believe that it has finally come to a close, it feels like I just arrived here the other day!!
Sometimes transfers can be really hard for me as a missionary because im not the type of person who likes goodbyes. Tomorrowwill be my final day in assin anyinabrim then on to wherever the lord has called me to serve next.
I will be sure to let you all know where my next area will be this coming week but I am looking forward to serving around new people and shedding my light towards others! I love you all and I pray that each of you have a wonderful upcoming week this week! Talk with you next week!
