Elder Mease Week 50
Hey everyone! Another week has gone by and it went by way too fast!! I am getting closer and closer to one year by the day and its scaring me how fast time has gone. This week me and elder palaiti have just been slowly preparing the rest of our investigators for their baptism and are currently in the finding stage at this point.
This week we were able to baptize Benjamin!!! And it was so cool seeing the reaction on his face after his baptism, he was so excited! He was just ready and willing to be baptized since the first lesson we had with him, and since then his knowledge of the gospel has grown so much and he feels so much happier now since the first day we met him. I am so happy for the man that he has become, and I know that the lord has a bright future ahead of him as he continues to endure in this wonderful gospel and builds his testimony day by day. Still, he comes and works with us each day to share the gospel with others and he helps us out so much… I have asked him recently about serving a mission and he told me that it crossed his mind a few times which would make him the first missionary this branch would have if he decides to go.
Joseph, the man that we baptized just a month ago has been helping us teach and translate for some of his brothers that he referred to us. They are progressing a lot and have come to church each week since the day we met them, I just hope that they stick to the commitments that we give them and continue learning with us each day. Also, yaw obruni is still helping us teach his family and translating each of the lessons so we can prepare them also for their baptisms. There is so much missionary work that needs to be done in this gospel it amazes me, so many others who haven’t yet received this gospel who are lost and are still waiting to be found. I am so grateful to be continually blessing the lives of others with the message that I have come to share, even if it doesn’t work out, there are still seeds that are being planted in the area.
Missionary work is truly divine, just with myself I have seen how much this gospel has blessed my life and the lives of those that I teach. I can see the effect that it has made just on my life as I have served this last year and seeing the effect it has made on each and every one of the companions I have served with. Still more to look forward this coming year that I am just so anxious for.
I love you all and hope that life back at home is going great! And if you haven’t yet emailed me yet you should because I would love to hear from each of you! Have an amazing week this week and I will talk with you all soon!:)
