Elder Mease Week 47

What a week! well to start things off, transfer news came just this last Saturday and i am staying in assin anyinabrim for a 4th transfer with elder palaiti for my 3rd transfer! I was shocked when I heard the news thinking that I was for sure going to leave my area because I have already been with elder palaiti for two transfers but the lord still needs me to stay in assin anyinabrim a little longer. everything in my district is also staying the same except for elder akerele who is being transferred because he had just finished training! So this transfer will pretty much be exactly as the last transfer which I am very much looking forward to!
Another great thing happened this week! elder kacher came for our mission tour on Tuesday and it was a wonderful experience that I was able to have! He taught us so many different things that I can apply to my missionary work. One of my favorite things that he talked about is how we use and apply the book of Mormon to our teaching, it surprised me how many questions the book of Mormon is able to answer! And as a missionary, the way my investigators can gain a testimony of the book of Mormon is by using it to answer the deep questions of the soul! I also loved where we were able to talk about working with members and getting the ward/branch members involved in the work and helping them fulfill their part in the missionary work. I am so thankful for my knowledge that I have of the plan of salvation and understanding each of the basic questions of where we are going, why we are here, and where we will go when our life comes to a close! Understanding how I as a missionary can apply the plan of salvation lesson to my investigators needs is so very crucial to the work. They have no idea what their purpose is here on earth! But through the teachings and answers that come from reading the book of Mormon truly does help us understand those three basic questions!
I am so very grateful for my members and their help in the work! Joseph, the man that we just recently baptized referred us to his brother and even brought him to church on Sunday! Also, one of our other members named sister Lydia brought a friend of hers to sacrament meeting that we were also able to teach that same night, his name is Benjamin and he is very well educated compared to most of the young adults, and he also reminds me so much of the prophet joseph smith. he was sharing his testimony with me and elder palaiti and telling us that all he wants is to find the truth… after hearing his testimony it made me so happy knowing that what he has been searching for has finally been found! I have a good feeling about both of the referrals we have received and I really hope that after the next few lessons we have with them they may be able to progress in the gospel and even be baptized!!
I know that the lord needs me to stay in this area even though I haven’t found out the reason at the moment, I know that there is a purpose for me in this area that I am needed for! As I continue to be faithful in the work I know that the lord will provide a way for me to be a successful missionary through obedience to the mission rules and hard work each and every day! I love this gospel and there is nothing else that I would rather be doing right now than to be sharing it with others! I love you all so very much and I will keep you updated on how the work goes in the coming week! i hope you all have a great week this week and I will remember to keep you all in my prayers
