Elder Mease Week 43

hey everyone! this week was a killer week here in the ghana cape coast mission, it has been a week of testing and learning for all of the mission…I hope.  Let me explain.  Monday, we learned that Salt Lake had not yet deposited money into our accounts which caused us to stretch.  We had to pull out our “self-reliant” skills and figure out a way to provide for ourselves for another couple of days.  Like the ten virgins, those who had oil in their lamps, 20 Cedis of emergency money, were fine.  Those who did not...well, learned a valuable lesson in self-reliance.  Principles in self-reliance includes, saving a little for a rainy day, problem solving, and standing on your own two feet.

so me being prepared with my 20 cedi emergency managed to last the next few days! but all was well because we were able to receive our money for food and supplies just a few days after! but managing my money those first few days of the week was a fun/exciting learning experience for not only me but the mission as well!

oh, and also our apartment has run out of running water again.. so the entire week we were fetching water for cooking, bathing, washing, etc.. this week was tough! but its been great:) they told us that they will fix our water pump today so i am really hoping that we will have water!! other than meetings and a whole lot of proselyting! me and elder palaiti were able to experience some great things in our area! being stretched each day to find new people, we talked with whoever we could that would be interested in receiving this restored gospel but only few were interested that we were able to work with! much progress still happening in the area but i am happy to say that its normal! missionary work is truly divine:)

i was also able to experience going on exchange with the zone leaders! i went with elder ofengaue and we really worked our butts off! its really neat due to the fact that he lives in south jordan where my family is and went to bingham high school! i enjoyed teaching and learning from him! i learned alot from not only him but his investigators as well!

loved the week this week and really look forward to the upcoming week! love each of you and i hope you all have a great week! my prayers go out to all of you! much love:)
