Elder Mease week 42

Hey everyone! This week really flew by!! Well, the new transfer so far has been really great! It was really sad to see all of the missionaries in the zone go but it was good to hear elder Petersen's farewell testimony before he leaves to a new area. The district meeting on Tuesday was powerful! Elder yablonovsky instructed on how we should be different. Not only as missionaries but also as people! And I reflected the instruction on the savior and how he was different from everyone else.
The savior was the only perfect being to ever walk upon the face of this earth and the example that he set for all of gods children is the example that I want to follow.  I think of the difference that he made for all of us and because of his infinite atonement and sacrifice, we can be saved through the gospel that he has provided faith on his name! I am so thankful for each and every one of his sacred attributes that I can follow to help me become the missionary that he needs me to be.
This week we received a new elder in the apartment on Wednesday! His name is elder antopina and he is a very humble sweet missionary that I really enjoy talking with! He is from the Philippines and has been in Ghana for maybe around 5 months now so he is still new lol. He and elder yablonovsky work very well together. their area so far this week is doing great! I was able to experience going on an exchange with elder yablonovsky in his area and meet some of his investigators!
One of the craziest things happened while I was on exchange with him, so after we had just finished a lesson with one of his investigators we heard a big accident and went over to see where it came from, and everyone in the village was running over to see what had happened as well! It was a very breathtaking experience and thankfully no one died but 4-5 people were severely injured and rushed to the hospital as fast as possible! Me and elder yablonovsky couldn’t believe what had happened. The rest of the day with him went great! Some of his investigators are progressing so much and it was so cool to be able to meet and get to know each of them!
This week, me and elder palaiti found 2 new investigators and one of them is brother yaws wife! She is now becoming very interested in the church and wants to learn more from us, brother yaw was so happy when she came to church with him and their family! The branch president even gave him the opportunity to pass the sacrament for the first time and it was such a neat experience for me seeing how much this gospel can change someone! He loves the gospel so much and wants his family to receive the wonderful blessings that it provides.
The way that time is going on the mission is unreal…. I am already coming up on my 10 month mark and it feels like I had just left my family yesterday! My area is progressing so much more than when I first came here! We had 5 investigators come to church yesterday and 6 investigators who we have given a date to be baptized! I love the people in this area and the example that they have set for me and my companion! I know that this area will keep growing and growing through time and the branch will turn into the anyinabrim ward! This week has been wonderful and as always I am still looking forward to the experiences that I will continue to have and the lives that I will change as they listen to the message we have to share with them. I love all of you and hope you have had a wonderful week! Byeeee.
