Elder Mease Week 32
Heyyyyyyyyy guys!! what a sweet week it was this week!! so sorry about last week, i was not able to email at all due to network and power so that was way nice!!
On Wednesday me and Elder Quist had a good day! we got a ton of proselyting done and all of the lessons we planned for that day worked out so that was pretty sweet! and that same day an investigator of ours gave us a whole bunch of bananas that we took back to the apartment and i have no idea how were going to finish all of them but i was way excited when he gave us those! valentines went pretty dang good that day so nothing to really complain about that! none of the people here in ghana really celebrate valentines day here so it honestly didnt seem like valentines day at all but just a normal proselyting day:)
we had our interviews this week with president which went super well! i am so blessed to have such a sweet president and am so glad to be able to serve with him in this mission! he is so humble and so sweet which really you couldnt ask for anything better from a mission president! even after the interviews me and elder quist got to get a ride with president and his wife and we got to know them a ton better but that was a sweet day for sure!
also!! we got running water this week which was super nice! so i didnt have to take showers with buckets anymore! so all the guys in the apartment were excited about that! we have a few investigators that i am very excited for, they are showing so much progress when we teach them and one of our investigators named arhin is coming up on baptism so we are just slowly getting him prepared for that big day!!
one of the people that we just started teaching named ishmael read the book of mormon that we gave him and called us up on the phone to have us come and talk with him more about it! it honestly blew his mind when he was reading it and he loved it so much that he wanted us to eat with him and his wife while we talked more about it! we gave him an assignment to read on jesus christs ministry to the americas and invited him to come to church! the thing is, he didnt come to church and still chose to got to his own! the good thing is he told us that he believed the book was true and that he wants to continue reading it but he doest want to leave his church! i can see that being hard for most people here because they grow up in a church their whole life and just have a hard time experiencing something new! but i hope that we can work with him more and strengthen his testimony on the power and divinity of the book of mormon!
this week was sweet and i am getting more used to my new area! i hope that you all have had a sweet week back at home:) thats all i have for this week so i will get back to you all in the next week love you guys!!
