Elder Mease Week 31
Hey everyone!!! What an interesting week it was this week! Well to start things off, our apartments pump broke so we haven’t had running water the past week so its been a great experience having the chance to go out and fetch water so that we are able to shower and wash our clothes and all. Also, sorry for emailing all of you a week late, the power and the network has been down recently and none of the missionaries in the zone have been able to email their families until today! I guess I would consider it normal here in the mission but im glad to be able to email all of you at least:)
This week me and elder quist have been workin! I honestly think it’s a lot hotter here in anyinabrim than in cape coast! I am toasting everyday here its not nice! I hear the rainy season is coming back here pretty soon so I am looking forward to that for sure.. also, only 2 investigators were able to make it to church this week and we had 5 members show up also which was great!
The other elders in our apartment had a baptism this weekend also and it was a sweet opportunity to be able to speak on baptism and the holy ghost at the baptism and also to even witness it! One of elder quists recent converts brother seth just recently had a sister who passed away, and it was hard on him but when we went to visit him even though he was sad he still told us how happy he was because he knows where his sister is at and because of his knowledge of the gospel that he will one day be with her again!
He told us how excited he was to go to the temple and do baptisms for his sister and all his extended family! That’s the thing I love about the gospel, how much it can change a persons life for the better and bring happiness and joy in this life and also the life to come! Brother seth has a powerful testimony in the church and he was just recently baptized just a few weeks ago! I love the change in peoples hearts and the change in their testimonies as they continue to come to church and witness for themselves the fullness of the gospel of Christ!
A lot of our investigators are still at their farms the first part of the day so me and elder quist use that time to meet new people in the area and gc families that we haven’t met yet! Most of the people seem interested in learning but don’t return our calls and the other people just don’t really want anything to do with us which is completely normal for missionaries! but other than that not too much has happened really, the people are still the same as always and the work is always the same but im striving every day to invite the spirit of Christ the peoples lives! That’s all from me though, I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week!:)
