Week 14
hey everyone! this week was a blast!! i am finally finished with training so im way happy!! me and elder jeppson are having too much fun here in africa! and i've me a lot of new people this week who want to hear more about this gospel! every one of my investigators couldn't make it to church this week! it makes us sad when they tell us they will come but never show! its probably the biggest problem we have here and there excuse is because of the rain every time..
On Monday our whole apartment had the wonderful opportunity to go to a family home evening and got fed fried rice from my first baptism! sister sarah! we shared with her and her family about charity and serving others! the lesson went great and it was very powerful hearing all of the elders in my apartment bare their testimonys on this wonderful gospel!
sister ama had her baby and we were very happy for her! she named it susie so maybe tomorrow we will be able to visit her and the baby because she hasnt been home at all this week! Brother Dadzie plans on getting baptized this Saturday! so we are hoping that he will stay true to his word and we can get him baptized! i am so excited for him and especially for his family! because i know that after his baptism he will share this wonderful gospel with his family over in accra and give them that desire to be baptized as well!
we had a few new investigators like a man named brother peter who i saw from the distance reading the bible! next to a tree and i had that strong desire that we should walk over and speak with him! we talked with him about the book of mormon and bore our testimonies on its truthfulness! throughout the week we taught him and he is a powerful man! his arm is infected by something and it looks like he burnt it or something so he is afraid to come to church! we keep trying to tell him not to worry and to just wear a long sleeve tee but he tells us next time! so we are hoping that he can come this week! im confident in teaching him some more and i know that if he continues to pray that he will receive his answer on this gospel! i will continue to let you all know how peter does but we just need him to come to church to get a feel of what our church is like!
im very confident in this coming week! we have 5 people looking to be baptized so when they come to church a few more times we can get them baptized! my companion is powerful and his testimony in this gospel is so strong! i love teaching and learning from him.. training has been sooo fun and i cant believe its already over!! i miss you all a ton but i will get back to you on how my week goes but i am continuing to enjoy ghana and strive to work my hardest every day for my heavenly father! i know that in the end it will all work out! LOVE YOU ALL
