Week 7

Helloo!! what a great week in ghana! experienced so many cool things this week! starting off with monday.. we went to a place called FIFA PITCH and just played soccer for 3 hours or just until everyone was exhausted. then we pretty much just got our food for the week and checked out a nice restaurant that was literally right next to the beach! SOOO Beautiful here!

on tuesday i went on exchange with an elder in my area named Elder Nelson! he ended up getting really sick so we went home for small time so he could sleep it off! it felt like a really long day because we only got to proselyte for like 3 hours and the rest of the time just studying.. but hey it was still a good time because i got a ton of things done.

wednesday me and elder jeppson went to a new area where theres just farms and people who dont really have the gospel out in that area. it was a neat experience because i got to meet so many people and we got the opportunity to teach a guy named emmanuel! he was a tailor who just worked from home and we got to know him a little bit afterwards he invited us to teach him! The spirit with this guy is so strong and he has such a powerful testimony on his heavenly father! the thing about the area that he lives in is that it is so far out in the middle of nowhere we have to pay alot of money to get out there! so we can only visit with emmanuel once a week! but he asked us to comeback so we will continue seeing him more often.

thursday was a long day!! we had zone conference from like 9:30-4:00! but we learned about appropriate missionary grooming and how to use our money wisely! also we learned about being the best missionary we can be which is the fourth missionary! President and Sister Hillam were so cool and it was nice getting to know them a little bit more! after the zone conference me and jeppson went and proselyted til 9! most of the night the people wanted nothing to do with us whatsoever so we only had one lesson that day! some days missionary life can be very stressful and hard! just something else i gotta get used to here in ghana.

on friday we got a new referral from a member and her name is sister Ama. Sister ama is way nice and loves the gospel! she got taught by some missionaries a year ago but she had to travel so she never had the chance to attend church or anything like that which is sad! but we met with her small time and shared our testimonies with her about the gospel! and she really appreciated the short lesson we had for her so she asked us to come back the next day.. after that lesson we met with the bishop in our ward named bishop ewudzie! hes a funny guy and i love him to death.. but we just shared with him a few things about our investigators and new things that are happening throughout the week so nothing too much on friday other than just a few lessons and a meeting:)

saturday we had another lesson with sister ama and this lesson went very well actually! we shared with her about joseph smith and the restoration of this church then we talked a little about jesus christ and how much she knows about him. it was neat seeing her share her testimony on the savior! she really loves the idea of families can be together forever so we talked a ton on that subject and most of the lesson was pretty much based on that! it was nice though getting to know her a little better and we invited her to come to church on sunday which was great because she was our only investigator at church!

on sunday like i said we only had one investigator come to church and it was sister ama. brother dadzie has been out of town the past week or so and he wont be back for a while! but sister ama showed up to church a little late but me and jepp were just happy she was able to make it! we visited her afterwards and she told us she enjoyed it a lot and to have us come over on tuesday to learn a little more! but sunday night we made a new investigator whos name is also emmanuel soo we now have two emmanuel investigators. but this one called me "elder lee" the entire lesson so i kinda just shrugged it off and let him do his thing! but the lesson went great! he loved it and wants us to comeback the following week so YAY!

but yes this week was powerful and i had a great time! hope everyone is doing good back at home! it literally have no time to email here in ghana but im doing my best lol! LOVE YOU ALL and cant wait for what next week has to give:)
